In 2005 I began work on a project I named "The St Pete Shuffle." Partnering with a community organizer, we set out on a mission to revitalize the oldest shuffleboard club in America. The first year we held art shows at the club, educated the masses on the fun of shuffle and attracted hundreds of people to our weekly Friday night events. Over 10 years later the club is thriving with thousands of members and is nationally recognized. Our efforts seeded a resurgence of the sport; so much so, that the Brooklyn based shuffle club, Royal Palms, gives credit to us as the foundation of their success.
