Boston, MA, 2001: I partnered with a friend to build an art and design business known as Bluelucy. At that time, the gallery scene was exclusive and unfriendly towards emerging artists. This environment forced us to improvise and create our own style of art exhibits; so we held shows in cafes, coffee shops and private residences. We left Boston in 2003 and moved south to St Petersburg, FL. After a brief period of continued gorilla styled shows, our success lead to the opening of the Bluelucy Art Gallery on Central Avenue. Bluelucy was an integral facet in the transformation of a once neglected area into a thriving art district. The photos below show highlights of the gallery's life.
